Queer Lit Readathon Day 1

Day One Goal accomplished!

I sampled each title from my TBR pool.

I started with the picture books out on the grass on a beautiful sunny day. (Something bit me!) No, I didn't finish the picture books. A Day in June has a lengthy but interesting reading guide at the back. (It turns out leather has meaning :P ) And I was interrupted in the middle of My Two Uncles. 

The rest I charged through from 11pm to 12am because I'd forgotten. For the short stories I squeezed in a few sentences from each. But there was victory nonetheless.

Day Two Goals

  • Reject (temporarily or permanently) titles for this readathon and titles I happen to have checked out. I have too many :P
  • Complete a few short titles to feel like I'm making progress, but not all of them, so that I can have some easy reads for other days
  • Focus on Freshwater the group read.


Oh! And I almost forgot.

Call for Submissions January 2021: Stories

It's time for the  Carnival of Aros ! 🎊 The Theme: Stories Life is full of stories: the ones we tell ourselves, the ones we tell others, and the ones we are told. Stories shape perception, expectation, and the fabric of reality. Okay, I'm getting grandiose - the point is I love stories. I love stories so much I would rather talk about how they work than write them or read them 😂 . (I'm working on that.) What is a story you want to tell? What is a story you no longer believe? The Fire: Aro Tunes Thursday

Happy  Aro Tunes Thursday ! A weekly call on Aggresively Arospec's Tumbr for songs that "make you feel proudy arospec" or "you feel like claiming for the community for no particular reason." The original intention of Aro Tunes Thursday is to submit songs to Aggresively Arospec and see all the songs others submitted. But I like to dig deeper into the lyrics and why they hold meaning to me. I make no commitment to the frequency or duration of this series.
